Enjoy a relatively easy hike past the Inca ruins of Llactapata, following the Urubamba River. After a delicious lunch, continue to Wayllabamba, where you’ll camp for the night.

Challenge of Warmiwañusca Pass (Dead Woman’s Pass):
This is the most challenging day of the trek, as you ascend to the highest point of the trail, Warmiwañusca Pass (4,200 meters / 13,779 ft). After reaching the summit and taking in the stunning views, descend to the campsite at Pacaymayo.

Exploration of Inca Ruins:
This day features a mix of ascents and descents through spectacular Andean scenery. Along the way, visit archaeological sites such as Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, and Phuyupatamarca. End the day at the Wiñay Wayna campsite, located near a stunning Inca terrace complex.

Entrance through the Sun Gate (Inti Punku):
Wake up early to hike to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where you’ll have your first magical view of Machu Picchu at sunrise. After soaking in the breathtaking panorama, descend to the city for a guided tour of approximately 2 hours.
