ITINERARY

Early Departure from Cusco

Begin the tour early in the morning around 4:30 a.m. with a private tourist transport from Cusco. The scenic drive of approximately three hours takes you through picturesque Andean landscapes to the village of Mollepata, where you’ll stop for breakfast.

Breakfast in Mollepata

Enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast to fuel your energy before beginning the trek to the lagoon.

Trek to Laguna Humantay

Continue by transport to the trek’s starting point. The hike to Laguna Humantay takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, ascending to an altitude of 4,200 meters (13,779 feet). Along the way, marvel at the stunning views of the Salkantay Glacier and the surrounding Andean landscapes.

Arrival at Laguna Humantay

Upon reaching the lagoon, be rewarded with spectacular views of its vibrant turquoise waters framed by snowy peaks. Enjoy time to relax, take photos, and soak in the tranquil atmosphere of this natural wonder.

Descent and Lunch

After enjoying the beauty of Laguna Humantay, hike back to the starting point. From there, you’ll be taken back to Mollepata for a buffet lunch featuring local dishes.

Return to Cusco

Following lunch, return to Cusco by transport, arriving between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m..
