ITINERARY

Plaza de Armas and Cusco Cathedral

  • Start the tour at the Plaza de Armas, the heart of Cusco, surrounded by significant colonial buildings.
  • Visit the Cusco Cathedral, a masterpiece of architecture that blends Spanish religious art with Andean culture. Inside, marvel at the impressive works of the Cusco School of Art.

Qoricancha: The Temple of the Sun

  • Next, head to Qoricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun. This was one of the most important temples in the Inca Empire, dedicated to sun worship. The Spanish later built the Church of Santo Domingo over its foundations, creating a fascinating blend of Inca and colonial architecture.
