ITINERARY

Arrival in Cusco:
You’ll be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Cusco. The rest of the day is free to acclimate to the altitude (3,400 meters above sea level). It’s recommended to rest, stay hydrated, and explore the surroundings.

Optional activity:
Take a short walk around the Plaza de Armas and visit landmarks like Cusco Cathedral and the Church of the Society of Jesus.

Visit historical sites:
Begin with a tour of the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), followed by visits to archaeological sites such as Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.

Afternoon at leisure:
Explore San Pedro Market or visit museums like the Inka Museum.

Sacred Valley Tour:
Travel to the Sacred Valley to visit Pisac’s artisan market and archaeological site. Continue to Ollantaytambo to explore its impressive Inca fortress and agricultural terraces.

Overnight in Ollantaytambo:
Stay at a hotel in Ollantaytambo to prepare for the next day’s activities.

Visit Moray and Maras Salt Mines:
Explore Moray’s mysterious circular terraces and the stunning Maras Salt Mines, featuring over 3,000 salt pools used since pre-Inca times.

Return to Cusco:
Enjoy a free evening in Cusco after returning from the day’s activities.

Free day or optional adventure:
Rest or participate in optional activities such as rafting on the Urubamba River or quad biking through Maras and Moray.

Train ride to Aguas Calientes:
Depart early from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes by train. Enjoy scenic views of the valley and Urubamba River.

Free afternoon in Aguas Calientes:
Explore the town, visit the hot springs, or enjoy a nearby nature walk.

Machu Picchu exploration:

Return to Cusco:

Trransfer to Cusco airport:
You’ll be taken to the airport for your return flight home. End of the tour.
